was just another bored juvenile with no future, when he took
up the illegal practice of scrawling graffiti. His trademark
tag was a smiley face and he risked life and limb to place
his tag on more and more difficult sites. A challenger to
Chopper's scrawling talent soon arrived on the scene and
a scrawl war entailed bringing the pair to the attention
of the Judges. Chopper was attempting the most daring scrawl
of all on the Statue of Judgement when he finally met his
rival, a robot, also bored with the humdrum of Megacity life.
Chopper was caught and the judges thought they had foiled
him until the sun rose and activated the special paint he
had used to reveal the smiley face on the badge of office
of the statue. On release from jail, Chopper took up the
illegal sport of skysurfing and competed in the undergroud
world skysurfing championship Supersurf 7 held in Megacity.
Chopper won the championship but was once again imprisoned
by the Judges. He escaped from jail three years later and
made the incredible journey by hoverboard around the world
to Oz, a legal haven for skysurfers, where the Supersurf
10 Championship was being held. Chopper narrowly lost to
his rival Jug McKenzie and remained in Oz after the competition
was over. |
