History- Tabitha hails from Roanoke, Virginia. Originally in the care of X- factor, she ran away to join the young mutant X- Terminators and to rescue her friend the pyrokinetic mutant Rusty from jail. She then went on to join X- Force. She fell in love with her team mate Sam Guthrie (Cannonball) but the relationship never really got going, Sam being more interested in his new position with the X- Men.
Tabitha transferred her affections to Sabretooth who was being nursed back to health by professor Xavier and had seemingly put his wicked past behind him. This was a big mistake as when Sabretooth was well again he turned on the X- Men. Feeling tremendously guilty about the whole event she went off to renew her relationship with her estranged father. During this time she was attacked by the mutant Sebastian Shaw and left hospitalised. After this episode, she changed her name to Meltdown and took on a new no nonsense attitude, she also entered into relationship with Roberto Da Costa (Sunspot).
