| History-
Brian Braddock
was a student researcher at the Darkmoor Research Centre in
England when The facility was attacked by the Reaver, a mad
criminal. Brian escaped on a motorcycle but crashed off a cliff
and lay dying. He saw a vision of Merlin the ancient magician
and the Goddess of the Northern Skies, in which Brian was asked
to choose between two mystic objects, a sword of might or an
amulet of Light. Not being a warrior type Brian chose the amulet
and was surrounded by mystic energy that repaired his broken
body and imbued him with superhuman strength, he became Britain's
champion, Captain Britain. After a short career during which
he fought alongside many American heroes he mysteriously disappeared,
to be found at a later date by the Black
Knight in a state of amnesia. He accompanied the Black Knight
on a mission to various alternate dimensions in a quest to save
Camelot. Captain Britain was returned to Earth and his own time
by Merlin who also enhanced his powers and set him on a new
extra- dimensional adventure with his elfin companion Jackdaw
during which they were both killed. Captain Britain was once
more resurrected by Merlin, and gathered together the team Excalibur
including the shapeshifting Megan, and former X- Men Shadowcat
and Nightcrawler.
Brian left Excalibur and adopted the name Brttanic, whilst on
a mission to save the world from the Dragons of the Crimson
Dawn he lost his powers. He returned home a normal man, married
Megan, disbanded Excalibur and set about to live a normal life.
Not for long, he was called to join the Captain Britain Corps
of the extra- dimensional Otherworld to defend it against Mastermind,
a super computer that had been built by his father. Reclaiming
the sword of Might he reunited it with the Amulet of Light and
fulfilled his destiny as protector of the Omniverse and ruler
of Otherworld. |
