| History-
At the
age of seventeen, Tyrone and his best friend Billy were witnesses
to a robbery and murder. As Billy ran off, the police arrived
and Tyrone due to a chronic stutter was unable to tell them
that his friend was innocent before the officer had mortally
wounded him. Wracked with guilt Tyrone ran away to New York
were he met fellow runaway sixteen year old Tandy Bowen. The
pair were enticed into an experimental drug program run for
the Maggia by Simon Marshall to create a cheap substitute for
heroin. Marshall experimented with his synthetic drug on runaways
and injected Tandy and Tyrone. Until that time all of Marshall's
test subjects had died but the two survived and managed to escape
and dived into the Hudson river. Tyrone was encompassed by a
deep blackness, through the darkness though he could see Tandy
glowing and dispelling the darkness, and he reached her and
confused and frightened, they made it to the shore. Marshall's
thugs were waiting for them, and Tyrone swallowed them in his
cloak of darkness and Tandy fought them off with daggers of
light. Marshall's drug had changed them into something different,
Cloak a being of darkness dispelled only by the presence of
Dagger an angel
of light. The two became champions of the streets using their
powers to defeat crime lords and drug dealers and those that
preyed on the young and homeless. |
