| History-
Tony Stark
was an inventor and businessman, he headed Stark Industries
a company supplying state of the art weaponry to the military.
Whilst on a trip to the East, Stark was injured in the chest
and invented an artificial heart in a chestplate that he had
to wear at all times to survive, the chestplate became the basis
of his Ironman armour. After further development he had a complete
powered suit and took the Identity of Ironman, head of security
at Stark Industries and crimefighter, although no one knew he
was secretly Tony Stark. Ironman became a founding member of
the Avengers and has served regularly ever since. Tony Stark
at one point became an alcoholic and relinquished the Ironman
armour to his friend ???? Rhodes who wore the armour during
the Secret Wars episode, although he returned to the role after
his recovery and to the the Avengers. He was one of the members
who broke away from the main group to form the West Coast Avengers,
and the Force Works team but has since returned to the main
team. |
