| History-
Charles
discovered his telepathic powers whilst very young, finding
himself inside the mind of his foster brother. Later Charles
went off to fight in the second world war, leaving behind his
fiancé Moira McTaggart, who married another. After the
war, whilst in Germany he met and fell in love with a Jewish
refugee Gabby Haller who unknown to him later gave birth to
his son, later to become the mutant Legion. During this time
Charles met and became close friends with a man named Magnus
Lensher also a mutant. The two had differing opinions on whether
mutants and humans could live in peaceful co- existence and
Magnus went on to bring about his vision of the world as the
mutant menace Magneto. Charles travelled to Cairo where he was
attacked by the mutant Amahl El Farouk, it was this incident
that led Charles to realise the potential danger to humanity
of evil mutants and began plans to bring together a team of
young mutants, his X- Men, to defend humanity from their own
kind. |
