| History-
Narya was
conceived in the mystic coupling of Canadian archaeologist Richard
Easton and Nelvanna, an Inuit goddess. Midwife at her birth
was the Shaman Micheal Twoyoungmen who cast a spell to bind
the child to this dimension and took her away to his forest
cabin to raise her. Narya grew at a highly accelerated rate
and was soon a full grown woman. Both Narya and Twoyoungmen
were enlisted into the newly formed Canadian government sanctioned
team of super heroes Alpha Flight and Narya took on the cover
identity of Mountie Officer Anne Mckenzie. After a battle where
Snowbird had to kill Alpha Flight member Walter Langkowski AKA
Sasquatch, who had been possessed by the Great Beast Tanaraq,
she left Alpha Flight and married Mountie Douglas Thompson.
Narya gave birth to a child who was transformed into an adult
calling himself Pestilence and taken over by a malevolent spirit.
Pestilence fled to wreak havoc on the world and infected Doug
Thompson with a fatal disease. In a final battle Narya killed
her son to release the spirit who promptly took over her own
body. Narya was killed by Alpha Flight leader Heather Hudson.
Micheal Twoyoungmen then summoned the Inuit gods who took the
spirits of Narya, her husband and son into their realm. She
has since returned to battle Dreamqueen, but still resides with
her family in the realm of the Inuit gods. |
