| History-
Ororo's
mother was a Kenyan princess from a long lineage of priestesses
and magic women, she married an American journalist. The couple
lived in Manhattan where Ororo was born but moved to Cairo in
Egypt when she was six months old. When she was five years old
her their house was destroyed in a bomb blast killing both her
parents and trapping her in wreckage, this incident so traumatised
Ororo that she even today suffers from severe claustrophobia.
She was taken in by the Master Thief Achmed el- Gibar and became
his top apprentice learning to pick locks and pockets alike.
Some years later Ororo felt an urge to travel and headed south
into the Serengeti plains, the country of her ancestors, it
was around this time that her mutant abilities began to develop
and the local tribes worshipped her as a goddess. She remained
in Africa for several years, using her developing powers to
help the local tribes- people until she was telepathically contacted
by Professor Xavier to help rescue the original X- Men from
the living island Krakoa. She stayed in America becoming a member
and later leader of the X- Men, and also was for a short while
leader of the underground mutant community the Morlocks. Storm
was for while stripped of her powers by the mutant inventor
Forge but continued to lead the X- Men. After passing through
the Siege Perilous, a mystical portal that bestowed reward on
those found worthy Ororo was once again made a little girl with
no memory of her past with the X- Men. She found herself in
Cairo and was once again was taken under the wing of Achmed
el- Gibar until she was found by the mutant Gambit with whom
she returned to America and her team mates who the world now
thought was dead. The child Ororo grew at an accelerated rate
and she soon returned to her normal age. |
