| History-
Ben Grimm
is best friend of superbrain Reed Richards, and his first choice
when he needed a pilot for an experimental rocket ship. Along
with Reed's girlfriend Sue Storm and her brother Johnny, Ben
piloted the ship into space. The ship was bombarded with cosmic
rays changing the four into the heroes we know today as the
Fantastic Four. Ben became super strong and grew a rocky orange
hide. Ben was originally ashamed of his appearance but soon
came to terms with himself as the ever lovin' blue eyed Thing
and has been a rock solid member of the group. There have been
times when Ben has returned to his human form but his sense
of responsibility and some misfortune has always led him back
to being the Thing. |
