| History-
Born in
Scotland, Rahne "Like Rainy" was orphaned and raised
by strict catholic preacher Reverend Craig. When Rahne's mutant
power first began to show Craig accused her of been a tool of
the devil, and she was chased by him and his angry congregation
she was shot and injured. She was found by Moira McTaggart who
took her in and became her foster mother. Moira, an old friend
and associate of Professor Charles Xavier took Rahne to America
where she joined Xavier's school and became a member of his
New Mutants. She became close friends with her team mates developing
a special bond with Dannielle Moonstar who was able to keep
in psychic contact with her when she was in her wolf form. She
became romantically involved with fellow New Mutant Cypher,
and was totally devastated when he was killed on the Ani- Mator's
island whilst saving her life. Rahne was captured by the Genoshan
Magistrates and turned into a mindless Mutate slave. She was
rescued before the process was complete but now only had her
intellect in her wolfen forms. When she became full human again
she was a mindless mutate slave once more. She spent some time
with X- Force before returning to Scotland and joining up with
Excalibur. When the team was disbanded she remained on Muir
Island helping Moira to find a cure for the Legacy Virus. Moira
later contracted the disease and died leaving Rahne alone. |
