Marvel Comics on the Screen- Incredible Hulk TV movie and TV Series 1977

The Incredible Hulk, starring Lou Ferrigno in the title role and Bill Bixby as his alter ego Dr David (Bruce) Banner. The Story revolved around the Brilliant Dr Banner who whilst experimenting with Gamma radiation accidentally received an enormous dose triggering a change in his genetic structure. When Dr Banner becomes angry or upset he transforms into his Jekyl / Hyde alter ego the enormously strong green skinned Hulk. The Incredible Hulk and its sequel, The Return of the Incredible Hulk were the pilots for the Incredible Hulk TV series Starring Bill Bixby as the tortured Dr David Banner who hitch hiked from town to town around the US trying to find a cure for the monster within him in the guise of Lou
Ferrigno as the green skinned Hulk. This Universal studios TV series was very successful and ran for five years. The partnership of Bixby and Ferrigno was resurrected in the late eighties with three more TV movies The Incredible Hulk Returns, Trial of the Incredible Hulk and Death of the Incredible Hulk. Bill Bixby died shortly after in 1993, but Lou Ferrigno has returned to the role to voice the hulk for the new Animated Cartoon TV Series.
